The NSW Department of Planning has prepared draft Local Developer Contributions Guidelines to replace the existing Practice Notes and a Policy Statement on Developer Contributions.

The primary purpose of the draft Guidelines is to provide guidance to: 

•          Assist planning authorities in the preparation and administration of contribution plans;

•          Clarify the key components of the plan preparation and implementation process fro all stakeholders; and

•          Assist all parties involved in the preparation and administration of planning agreements.

Submissions close on the 26th February 2010.

Due to the concern and controversy surrounding developer contributions and levies, we view this draft to be of great interest to members and we encourage you to consider the documents.
