Member Services

The Master Builders Association (MBA) has been the voice of the building and construction industry for over 130 years and in that time has become the industry leader in the provision of services, assistance and advice to over 6000 members in NSW and over 30,000 members nationally.

Since 1873, the MBA has been recognised as the peak building industry body dedicated to advancing the interests of its members and the industry as a whole. Over this time the building industry has changed dramatically, but the MBA is still true to its original Constitution and Rules which stated one of the primary purposes of the Association was:

  • The safeguarding of the interests of the Members in their regular business as Master Builders, building industry contractors... or such activities as are ancillary or providing goods or services to the Building and Construction Industries.

One of the best ways to add value to your business is by being a member of the Master Builders Association. Membership provides a wide range of professional services in both the residential and commercial sectors designed to assist your business. Services provided are in key areas such as industrial relations, occupational health & safety, legal & contracts, training and government regulations. As a member you are constantly up-to-date on the changes affecting your business, particularly in the vital matters of industry codes and practices, legal and contractual responsibilities, safety issues, industrial and employee relations, and insurance.

As part of your Membership, the MBA provides a wide range of information sources. Our periodical publications - 'Master Builder' and 'Executive Newsbrief', provide no-nonsense overviews, news and practical advice on the changes in the industry directly affecting your business in the short and long-term. You have access to free industry briefings and seminars – the MBA doesn't charge its Members for information they have a right to – as well as timely seminars, workshops and meetings.

Beyond this, we also provide you with the “back office” services so essential to running a business today: Insurance, Legal, OH&S, Industrial and Employee Relations, and Training. And membership actually helps your bottom line through substantial savings on things such as mobile phone rates, insurance, building contracts, estimating software and national fleet pricing on vehicles to name a few.

Over 6000 members in NSW have added value to their business by having access to the latest information and advice in the key areas required to function successfully within the industry. Services include:
