MBA GROUP APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING SCHEME
Being a qualified tradesperson in the building and construction field can also lead to other job opportunities in the industry such as architecture, surveying, landscaping, engineering or project management.
An apprenticeship in the building industry can lead to career opportunities which require physical, creative and innovative skills.
TYPES OF CAREERS AVAILABLE UNDER SCHEME
Consider an apprenticeship in one of the following different careers with Master Builders Association:
FLEXIBILITY OF SCHEME
Such is the flexibility of the MBA Apprenticeship Scheme:
-
Full-time employment based training program
-
Provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of a trade in the building and construction industry
-
Embrace an approach where an apprentice is registered with the Association and outsourced to builders and subcontractors known as the Training Employers
-
Opportunity to be placed in different environments with various facilities and aspects of the work
MBA apprentices are not only exposed to an on-the-job and off-the-job training environment but also obtain a nationally recognised qualification which has been developed by industry for the industry.
DURATION OF APPRENTICESHIP
An apprenticeship usually runs for 4 years. During the first 3 years, an apprentice receives both on (work site) and off the job (TAFE College) training. The last year of the apprenticeship usually involves working full-time. Due to the variation of work, you can move around the industry to suit your competency base training.
When we place you into a position, you remain an employee of Master Builders Association. Your training employer provides the job and we take care of all the Training Contract requirements - your payroll, your leave and all of the other paperwork. While in the workplace you will be closely monitored by our trained staff, and if you need any extra training, on or off the job, we shall arrange it. While our aim is to try and give you a well-rounded work experience, we can even have you rotated through several training employers.
WHO ARE TRAINING EMPLOYERS
Training Employers are businesses who require the labour and skills of an apprentice for an indefinite period of time.
Group Training is an arrangement whereby apprentices are employed under a Training Agreement by an organisation which manages the quality of their training and provides pastoral care while they are placed with training employers.
